02 Choir- Liturgical Music
The adult choir provides liturgical music that enhances the
celebration of the Mass. The choir offers to its members
the opportunity to use, share and enhance their talent in this
ministry of praise. Choir members also may act as cantors
at specified Masses and liturgies. Regular practice
meetings are held on Tuesday evenings at 8:00 p.m.

03 Eucharistic Minister
Eucharistic Ministers are to assist the priest in the distribution of the Eucharist at Sunday Masses and to those members of the parish who may be sick or homebound, residents of nursing homes, or hospitalized. There is a training program at scheduled times during the year to define duties and responsibilities.

05 Gift Bearer
Gift bearers present the Offertory gifts of bread and wine to be used in the Eucharistic Celebration.

07 Lector
Assist in the celebration of the Mass by reading the Word
of God, leading the responsorial psalms, and prayers of the
faithful at Sunday/Holy day Masses.

08 Adult Mass Servers
Adults who wish to serve the 6:30 a.m. weekday and
Sunday Masses.

09 Church Cleaning Volunteer
Clean and care for the sanctuary, sacristy, and church
furnishings.

10 Sacristy Laundry Help
Assist in the care and cleaning of vestments, altar lines and
various other items.

12 Usher
To facilitate seating of those attending mass. Collect weekly and special offerings. Distribute the weekly bulletin and additional materials as needed. Insure the presence of Offertory Gift bearers.

14 Wedding Preparation Volunteer
Help to prepare the sanctuary with liturgical objects for
weddings.

15 Seasonal Help with Decorations
Christmas and Easter help to decorate the Church

SPIRITUAL

18 Prayer Chain
An organization of approximately 80 people who receive
prayer intentions from our parish community and will pray
for that intention.

20 Men’s Prayer Breakfast
Monthly meetings on Thursday mornings men’s gathering to promote spiritual growth and unity through prayer and
inspirational talks.

22 Vacation Bible School Assistant
Assists with the religious education of our parish youth (ages 5 to 11) through plays and storytelling, songs, games and crafts. Volunteers are needed for preparation and as group leaders during the event. Vacation Bible School is a week long outdoors event held in June.

23 First Friday Eucharistic Adoration
Nine groups meet during the night of the First Friday of each month for an hour each of Eucharistic Adoration. Each small prayer group meets to pray for themselves, their families, the parish, Church and our world. There are times for silence as well as times for prayers and psalms recited together.

24 Legion of Mary
Visiting the sick and home bound with a special devotion to Mary
86 Alumni Development
Volunteers are needed to help organize and maintain
alumni information and campaigns.

BUILDING & GROUNDS

90 Gardening/ Landscape
Assists in area landscape design and layout. Gardening
assistance is needed to help fertilize, water, and maintain
new plantings, decorative shrubs and flower beds.
91 General Maintenance
Provides for the maintenance of the parish buildings and grounds. Skilled trades such as carpentry, electricians, painters, plumbers, or plastering are needed for volunteer assistance on smaller projects in order to conserve parish funds. On occasion regular maintenance workers require assistance for snow removal or regular projects such as floors, general cleaning, or grounds maintenance.

CEMETERY

99 Grounds Maintenance
To assist in the day to day grounds maintenance. This
includes volunteer assistance with grass trimming, gate
security for opening and closing and other areas as your
talent and time may permit.


SCHOOL

76 School & Home Club

To plan programs for parent and family enrichment. Plan, coordinate, and organize fund-raisers for educational equipment and supplies.

77 Fund Raising & Development
Plan and implement fund raisers for various school needs throughout the year.

78 Athletic Program
Organizes and sponsors boys and girls athletic teams in a
variety of sports programs. Provide coaching and leadership. Instruct and teach the youth the fundamentals of the sports they participate in.

79 Cafeteria Aide
Assist the cooks in serving, supervising the children, and
the cleanup of the noon meal.

80 Library Volunteer
Volunteers assist students in using the library to find needed
resources. Check in and out books and materials, help in
maintaining the library, and reading to the students.

81 Market Day Volunteer
Assists in organizing and preparation of the distribution of
Market Day food orders. Assist in the bulletin campaign by
stuffing and collecting the order forms.

82 Playground Monitor
Volunteers help supervise the primary students during the
daily morning recess.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

25 PSR Instructor, Aide
The PSR Instructors are volunteers who instruct public
school students in the basic doctrines of the Catholic faith.
The PSR Aides are volunteers who assist the PSR Instructor
by performing various classroom tasks assigned by the
instructor. Classes are conducted on Saturday mornings
during the regular school year.

FINANCES

31 Budgeting & Finances
Prepare and revise budget for church and school annually for approval by the Financial council. Prepare financial studies of income or expense items that are used for budgeting and monitoring of financial operations. Volunteer assistance to help office staff is occasionally needed in these areas.

32 Collections – Money Counter
Several groups count and receive weekly envelope and
contribution collections. This process is normally done on
Sunday mornings and assures that all collections are
balanced for bank deposits.

33 Office & Clerical – Saturday Helpers
Provide telephone / receptionist services at the Parish office
on Saturday mornings throughout the year on a rotational
basis. Answer phone, and door, photo copying, or special projects as needed.

PARISH MEMBERSHIP


44 Mailing Newsletters, Promotions
A group of volunteers that assist the Parish Office with
folding, stapling & labeling of mailings for the parishioners.


50 Stewardship Committee Volunteer
Implements the Stewardship Program within our parish.
Organizes and follows through with the Annual Renewal
Program for Time, Talent and Treasure Intention cards.
Organize, develop and maintain a Time and Talent
Catalogue, and Intention Cards. Devise ways to educate our
parishioners about the Stewardship spirit.

SOCIAL COMMUNICATION

55 Altar Society
The Altar Society sponsors spiritual, social, and fund raising
activities throughout the year. Receipts from these activities
are generously presented to the Pastor for the contribution
towards liturgical vestments, furnishings, and other various
needs of the sacristy and sanctuary of the church.

56 Golden Age - + 55 Club

To promote the spiritual and social welfare of its members.
Activities include sponsorship of trips, activities promoting
spiritual or cultural awareness, and attendance at special
ecumenical, cultural, and social events. Potluck dinner
meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month at
6:00 p.m. Membership is open to any parishioner aged 55
and older.

60 Youth Group Volunteer
The purpose of this organization is to provide students of
grades 9 through 12 with activities that aid in Christian
development through participation in social, sports,
community service, and spiritual events. Active fund raising
events provide support for the group and for sharing with
local charities. Youth group volunteers provide direction and guidance for their various activities.

SOCIAL CONCERNS

65 Outreach to Sick/Homebound
To provide a ministry of presence, prayer and sacrament. To visit hospital patients and nursing home residents. Call
persons after illness or hospital stay.

66 Funeral Luncheons
Volunteers are needed to prepare and serve lunches that provide support for parishioners at the funeral of their loved ones. Additional volunteers are called on to bring dessert or food tray.

70 Pro-Life Group
Plan and coordinate educational, pastoral, and public
advocacy efforts to restore and promote respect for human
life. Members support Pro-life activities by spiritual,
charitable, educational or political involvement.

71 St. Vincent dePaul Society
In the spirit of justice and charity, and by person to person
involvement of its’ members, the Society seeks to help those who are suffering. To provide food, clothing and other necessary assistance to the needy of the community regardless of religious affiliation.

72 Priests Dinner – Saturday

Volunteers prepare an evening meal for our priest as they
have no cook on weekends. The meal is prepared on a
rotation basis at home and brought to the rectory at specified
times.

73 Family Ministry
Plans and provides support and growth experiences for singles, families and children.

COMPAS, Catholic Singles 25-45, Advent & Lent classes for the children during Mass
